Well, I've been having a good time. Nothing much has been changing, juts plodding along in a pleasant way.

This weekend was an extended capoeira thing. We got to see some pretty amazing stuff as well as wreck ourselves. Me, Meredith and the members of our group that came down got our first cord after having a go against a random professor, very good fun. When getting accommodation I was drawn to the guy with long tied back hair who had two fingers in the air. Turns out his name is Jamie and he gave up his double bed for us to use as well as being a lovely host. Guess I got lucky there, but stereotypes have their uses. :) Meredith was mildly surprised that we didn't rub each other up the wrong way after over 2 days of non-stop company, nice to know that we can do that.

Past that I'm done work wise this semester apart from my Psychology exam in a week. So, I'm going to be doing more hobby stuff like practicing my capoeira, staff and making a bit more kit for re-enactment I hope. It's a lovely weight to have off your shoulders it must be said.

A little bit of boredom to follow thanks to Julia (I do like how I end up mostly the same on these tests, but that's because I'm pretty happy with myself):

Well, I've been killing time by reading and making my way through the rest of this: http://drmcninja.com/index.html

Which explains my change in picy, got to love Death as a waiter.

I managed to get my first essay in on time, with about 15 mins to spare. Go on as you aim to continue, as they say. >_<

Today I was rather bad and managed to miss a couple of lectures, but I did get the on-line assessment I had to do for Psychology finished. I only have my Philosophy essay for thursday to do and then I'm done until after half-term.

Tomorrow I'm on a random trip into Edinburgh with the Pagan society. We're staying over at a guy named Frank's house for the night and then coming back after a nights... erm.... doing fuck knows what. Then on monday we have a 'divination' night which will mean even more card reading (should be interesting).

The Hippy gathering seems to be on, details to be given out this coming tuesday. I guess I might have been daunted by arranging such a trip in the past, but I've been on too many such things now and I know it'll all work out fine. :)

After the hippy thing I have some time to be spent back at home seeing mum, dad and a few of my friends. Then it all gets topped off with a trip to see Lordi being supported by Turisas is Manchester! :D
Turisas are so much fun and I'll be proud to say I've seen them live twice.

I've been trying to brush up on my staff-spinning for the gathering as well and I've gotten better, but we'll see just how good I am when my staff gets lit for the first time.

Life here is just fine and if you ever get stressed there are always the woods, best way to forget the world.

*goes to eat pancakes and chill out*

It was... very strange to be doing that, so many different emotions tied up with it all as well. Most of it good, though I can't do anything about leaving it behind now, especially since most of it died last year anyway.

I've got a couple of forms for uni to fill in and send off, you know, unimportant things like accommodation. That will be my main job for tomorrow.

I've been spending time again on WoW. Ah well, guess it can't be helped.

Another sleep depriving weekend lined up with a party following into training. Also, I have my own new tarot reading spread made up which I should get the chance to try out this coming week, which should be of some interest.

It was good that most people I know got what they needed, best of luck to them all with their future plans.

You scored as Zoroastrian Pagan. The Zoroastrian Pagan is a rare breed who follows the teachings of Zoroaster, the religious reformer. He believed that there were no gods, and it was naive to put faith in them and give them names. What one should focus on is merely serving one side of the cosmic duality; work on good or light deeds, and the world would become more good or light. Pagans of this variety are rare, but often feel like they get more done without the hassle and clutter of pantheons and gods. They're smart, analytical, and occationally cynical.

Zoroastrian Pagan

75%

Egyptian Pantheonic Pagan

65%

Ecclectic Pagan

60%

Eastern Pagan

55%

Celtic Pantheonic Pagan

50%

Shamanic Pagan

50%

Sumerian, Babylonian, and Mesopotamian Pagans

45%

Norse Pantheonic Pagan (Asatru)

45%

Greek Pantheonic Pagan

40%

Kabbalistic Pagan

40%

Roman Pantheonic Pagan

30%

Catholic (Pagan?)

10%

</td>

What kind of Pagan are you?
created with QuizFarm.com

Hippy Gatherings n stuff

Well, a week or so ago I went off to a UK hippy gathering in Wales. There I got to jam with people using my wee drum, got to do various bits of manual labour, meet lots of new and universally nice people, trade a pair of £2.50 poi for a 2 man tent and learn in a day and a half how to do basic firestaffing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2VYtvChSXX8

It was the first time I'd used them lit as well, so I start of cautious and build up through the video.

More recently I've been going off to a little shop in Liverpool near my dad to kill my spare time playing magic cards (the trading game kind). It's a relaxed enough environment and kills boredom rather nicely by replacing it with strategy and mild gloating.

Training went well enough, I did well with spear kills as well as man-at-arms again. Got hit near the eye by mann Adam, but luckily it doesn't hurt and it didn't do any damage to the eye. Hopefully I'll be able to get some of my stuff made soon so I can warm it up before going away.

I've just keeping myself busy by meeting up with people if they want to meet up and then filling the other gaps with family, that shop and occasionally games. I don't see myself being given a job opportunity this holiday and it's probably way too late now. Yes, I did try, but it simply didn't happen.

Time for some sleep tonight in my own bed before I go ahead and get moving again tomorrow. :)

It's been a long time since my last update, as usual.

I made a new strange avatar, I like playing around with animations because it's probably one of the few creative things I can do quite well (new one for BSU as well).

So, exams have been done for a while now. I think mine went OK, I know I could have done better, but hopefully I've done enough.

I've been catching up on reading/gaming over the past few weeks. Reading the Black Magician trilogy (on the 3rd now) and playing Jade Cocoon again.

I was a witness at my dads second marriage (the first being to my mother), it was a nice simple ceremony and I got to spend the rest of the day chatting with just the pair of them. I'm glad my dad is happy and it looks like it will only get better for him.

Since the holidays are only so long I've been focusing my attention on doing some reminiscent meet-ups with friends. Going to places with people that I haven't been to for at least a year. Those will probably be very nice as it pays a form of homage to the memories for me. For example, next week I'll being seeing my old best friend Amy Jackson for the day. She's one of those people who I can talk with and never have an awkward silence, same goes for her.

Various forms have been sent off for loans that will *fingers crossed* help me stay afloat when I get to Stirling. I've also been wandering around looking for jobs after some reasonably strong prompting from my mum. Next I should really be sending off for my provisional drivers license so I can mostly, if not completely, learn before I leave. We'll see how it all goes.

The rest of the holiday should be pretty busy with various party's, camping trips, outings etc. So, even if the rest of the more advisable and practical stuff doesn't get done then it'll be fun.

So, Mach, if you're reading this. Post an update and get to training. *shakes fist* I know your alive, Colleen says so. :)

Until next time...

The past couple of days have been lovely.

Monday I spent with my dad and Skye in the morning/early afternoon. Then I got Mark and Faye into Liverpool. We got food, got lost, went to a park and then made it back to my dads house. We watched Boondock Saints, did card readings for each other, got Faye back to the train station, played normal cards and then went to bed.

Tuesday we got up and into college for Archaeology. Then hung around playing magic cards/talking about Doctor Who. Went in to Southport and got food, then went to O'learys. Me and Mark found Sally, John and Alex there already at about 5:30pm. People gradually filed in. Jack, Beth, Jamie, claire, (her b/f), Julia, Andreas, Naomi, 60, and Faye. It was all good fun, I got given purple tissue paper, a random board game, a new t-shirt (which I'm wearing now), nice cards and a candle to blow out. Also Faye had fun teaching Julia how to do cute cat-like looks and sounds, which amused me to no end as I'm immune to them.

So, revision now for me as soon my exams begin. But, I'm looking forward to the time in between as it should be fun as well.

Well, by the time I've finished writing this I should be 18.

The actual event is of little importance to me, or at least it seems to be that way.

However, the fun I can have over the next couple of days using it as an excuse... that's a very different matter.

I'm spending tomorrow with my dad mainly which'll be good fun. Then tuesday is an Archaeology revision lesson in the morning and from 6-7pm onwards I've got this pub trip to enjoy. In between those two I'll be able to hang around with stragglers from the revision session. So, it'll all be good fun. :)

Training was good fun, back of shield wall kills just like the old old days and trainer wanging, oooo yeah. Julia's entry covers it very nicely. I'd better get to see the videos of that. :p

Past all of this, I'm feeling rather happy and despite the fact my exams are soon to start I'm still positive for now.

*waves*

Week before: I've been doing work and also avoiding work by doing origami, which prompted me to give out 5 flapping birds of varying sizes and colours to a few happy people.

This saturday night I stayed over at Alex's party. It involved me controlling one of the rooms/CD players which was filled with folky music all night. I spent quite a bit of time talking with Mark and Faye as well as trying to quell Faye's dream fits which got worse and worse for a lot of the night. So, me and Mark didn't sleep and despite having no booze were loud enough to keep up most of the rest of the house (hehe).

Today we managed to eventually get into Ormskirk and we were all ready to forget about the session due to small numbers and rain, but I let Mark go as he was dead and changed my mind as Julia appeared. So, we did a small session with 6 people and we helped train 2 of them from scratch.

This coming week is my last and it'll involve a lot of goodbyes I'll probably not want to make that readily. Then, I'm straight off the Scotland with my mum for the weekend and her birthday on that saturday. So, it's going to be busy but hopefully good on the memories front.

So, I've just got to the stage where I haven't slept for 24 hours.. this will be a very subdued night.

Well seems that I've been nudged and that a couple of people who I don't get to see post that often have posted in the last 24 hours, so I guess I had better.

Looks like summer is pretty much here. Hay-fever should be thinking of kicking in (it's only mild, get one pill a day and it goes). There are a lot of smells around that I've forgotten about, the kind of ones you only get this time of year, as well as the feel of things outside (probably the humidity). It's all reminding me of things over the past 2/3 years, unfortunately though, most of those things wont be happening again with the same people due to lack of communication these days. I can however, do the same stuff with college people or try and nab a couple of my older friends for some reminiscing in the holidays before the uni dispersion.

I've been doing/avoiding coursework over the past few weeks. I got back my Psychology to alter and it's at a B currently, with a few days to get it up to a good A. My Archaeology will need playing around with today so I can get it in for monday, I'm ahead of most people on it though and sir seems pleased with it.

I've been playing loads of Magic: THe Gathering, of all things, with people in college recently. I guess it's nice to have something which is challenging but fun and that I'm good at to play with some of my friends. I hope to be able to get a few more fun games out of them after college is over.

My dad has managed to get himself a place with his new girlfriend Skye. I'm fine with all of this and it didn't really take me any time to come to terms with it as he's completely smitten. It's very interesting to hear the stuff he's saying, it's put a few of my feelings into perspective and also re-enforced some of my ideas. Also, he should have his old sound system back up soon enough, meaning I can go around whenever I want for some PROPER Blind Guardian blasting and air-chelloing if I feel the urge.

Other than this though, I find myself looking for a fast forward button, mainly because I don't see anything major happening from now till I go to Scotland, it's not a nice way to look at things, but it's how I keep on seeing it.

Well, my 18th is in just under a month. That's pretty scary, not because I'll be able to do things I've been unable to do before, or because a lot of people will want to get me drunk, but because it's a big turning point in past and future. It should be fine, but I guess we'll see pretty quickly just how mature I actually am.

Anyway, see most of you lot soon enough. *waves*

I currently have high C's in all 3 A2 subjects (that's without knowing any of my coursework marks), so even if I failed to do any revision for the exams I would be able to get the 2 C's I need almost defiantly. It's brilliant! I can get where I want almost defiantly.

It's a massive relief and so me and my mum kinda feel like celebrating just the offer *laughs*.

Well, I'm off to try and get some sleep.

*bounces off*

Nothing much to report in general.

Today met up with lots of people to go out with/and met them when out. In order of disappearance: Doyle, Tom, Matt, 60, Minion, Laura, Dan, Sally, Mark, Andreas, Alex, Tom, Adam, Kester and Mike.

It was an interesting night, went to Silcocks and played lots of games, I did well although I managed to incur a nasty bash on my finger from air hockey. We then all filed off to the local Irish pub. I got my usual (last 2 times) bench and then when to play/watch some more pool. That was the bulk of what I did, eventually everyone decided to make their way out. Me, Tom and Alex met up with Dan again at the bus stop to get home. Some 40 year odd scals commented on our hair and then after all but I had got off he mentioned how annoying he had found Dan, despite asking he plenty of questions about armies, twat.

The moon looked strange when I got off the bus, it had a perfect circle of light expanded out from it in the clouds, really nice and I've never seen that before.

Can't go to Sally's party tomorrow as I promised I'd go to Jackie's 40th party, which I somehow expect to be less fun than tonight. Training on sunday though should cheer me up some more.

After that, one week and it's half-term, in which I get to bugger off to Scotland for a good part.

In third person, 5 things that never happened to Peter:

Stolen from Colleen and in turn Loneraven.

1: Peter would be called Anthony as this is what his mother wanted to call him, but his great-grandmother wanted a son called Peter and on her death bed asked for him to be called it.

2: Peter would never have left Scotland due to his father getting a job in the north of England, meaning he would have been raised around Glasgow, near his family and be (in many ways) more normal.

3: Peter would never have met Amy. He would have then never left Ormskirk school library, socialized past 2 people at a time, got to a gig, learned the joys of moshing, started becoming happy.

4: Peter never went to the gig early September 2005 in which he met Helen for the first time and Dan for the second time, he would have never; gone to training, gained much attention leading to him coming out of his shell, found any girls who fancied him back, got his first kiss, become the loud bastard he is today.

5: Peter would have gone to the last BSU camp, but Peter from BSU would also be there. This would have meant that Peter would not have been able to go out with Kathryn, at that stage if possibly ever. This would have removed the best time in Peter's memory to date and been a great loss.

You might get a better feeling as to why I like to idea of Fate when you look at these things. Too many chance things have been SO pivital in my life to date.
Well from a training point of view, training today was good. We did some forest stuff, me and Matt managed a lovely flanking move which lost the enemy 3 lives and made us grin very much. Also I've been forced into giving my team ranks, which I think I've sorted out and I'll check the details of soon.

From an emotional point of view though it was pretty crap. Adam and Laura did break up and it was very sad for me to watch, it's hitting me more now. Fuck you empathy. I can slightly relate to loss of a long-term partner and it's not fun for anyone, so seeing it happen wasn't nice. Well whatever, I just hope I don't end up feeling like this tomorrow as well, as in many ways it has nothing to do with me.

Got payed real money today, quite scary.

I went from having single figures money about 2 days ago to having well into 3 figures money. This is due to a nice little EMA bonus and also my first work payment.
I'm currently working at the Fairy Wing Repair shop in Ormskirk, although it's a nice shop, the work I'm doing is mostly IT based and so I am just sitting upstairs. The money is the minimum per-hour for my age which is fair enough.

Yesterday I had to make a leaflet advertising the shop, I was rather happy with how it turned out, but because of all the variety in Vicky's (The boss) head it took 6 hours, not about one. Another person who used to work for her came in and said that he wasn't very fond of it because she was so changeable, which is pretty hellish for an IT guy. Vicky also pays cash in hand to all the workers, without any contracts which I'm not all that happy about in truth.
So, I guess I'll keep looking for other places in the mean time and also try and ask to do the work from home, but we'll see how it all goes.

Went to see Tom for a bit after work and then went to meet my dad in Aintree. He's doing alright and seems to be getting things in motion more and more which is nice. Got in from being with him about 30 mins ago.

Training tomorrow with a small group of us, I've had to ring around loads of people today trying to arrange final meeting points and crap, so hopefully it'll all be fine.

Well.

Friday I meant to do a bit more than I ended up doing. I wanted to hand out some CVs for jobs, get a new bus pass and also take some pictures of buildings in Southport.
I managed to get in to KGV to meet Rob much later than I planned, eventually get into Southport with him and Naomi, take pictures, get a form for the pass as they wouldn't do it there and then, but I was unable to do the CVs as I didn't get in early enough to edit them and print them at KGV so that's a job for this coming week. It was nice to spend some more time with Naomi though, it's been quite a while.

Today I met up with dad in Liverpool. I spent....£87 on a wire or 2 and a 250 gig hard drive for my computer. So now I'm currently transferring various things from one drive to another (after all the pain I had to go through to get the computer to see it). Now I've got a bit over 400 gigs between my 3 drives (2 in my computer and this new one outside my computer). I was rather scared to spend that money, but the price was very good and it will last me for a few years I hope. Got some other pictures with my dad of the church in Liverpool, wondered around Quiggins for a bit and then went of a coffee so we could have an extended chat. It ended up being about moving stuff on for him, which is about 99% of his thoughts right now, some pretty deep thoughts in all that.

Training tomorrow, hopefully a new dagger for me *grins*. Should be good fun. Also arranged to meet a couple of people after college during the week, which should cheer me up quite a bit.

*sits and copies stuff whilst listening to music*
